NYSE: SGR) today announced that its Shaw Stone & Webster business unit has been awarded an engineering and procurement contract by Marathon Petroleum Company LLC, a subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO), for a 70,000 barrels per day (bpd) heavy gas oil hydrocracker unit and 47,000 bpd kerosene hydrotreater unit.
In addition to the installation of a new crude and vacuum distillation unit, expansion plans call for the construction of infrastructure and other process units with the following design capacities: a 44,000 barrels per day (bpd) delayed coker, a 70,000 bpd heavy gas oil hydrocracker, a 65,000 bpd reformer and a 47,000 bpd kerosene hydrotreater.
The new lube train will upgrade heavy gas oil to ultra-high quality Group II base stock using ExxonMobil's proprietary lube catalyst technology, including
