These samples were sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC; Atlanta, Georgia, USA) for testing by hemagglutination inhibition for influenza and enzyme immunoassay for RSV; parainfluenza types 1, 2, and 3; adenovirus; and HMPV by using standard methods (9,10). Earlier this year, BioSante reported results based on a study using a hemagglutination inhibition assay (HAI), which showed the clear adjuvanting effect of BioVant. Figure 2 shows the number of seroconverted birds in a third study as quantified by hemagglutination inhibition (HI) titer (HI U/mL) of serum samples taken at the time intervals indicated as dpi. |
