Further investigations revealed negative results for Jo-1 antibody, hepatitis B Surface antigen, hepatitis B core IgM antibody, hepatitis C virus antibody and hepatitis A IgM antibody.
It favored the continued use of the syphilis and the hepatitis B core antibody (anti-HBC) tests, which researchers developed to detect non-A, non-B hepatitis virus.
Hepatitis B core total antibody was positive, whereas the core IgM antibody and surface antigen were negative.
