As Congress, continues to work toward completing the renewal, or "reauthorization," of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended in recent years, discussion has centered primarily on the nation's flagship postsecondary grant program--the Federal Pelt Grant program--and the student Loan programs, which together deliver more than $61 billion in assistance each year to America's college students. 221-1(e)(1) provides that an eligible educational institution can be any college, university, vocational school or other postsecondary educational institution described in Section 481 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 USC Section 1088). The bill amends the Higher Education Act of 1965 to revise requirements under Title VI for grants to international education programs. |
