GENEVA, Dec 18 (Reuters) - The eight suspect human bird flu
cases in Pakistan are likely a combination of infections from
poultry and limited person to person transmission due to close
contact, a top World Health Organisation expert said on Tuesday. Here in the United States, human rights is a treasured principle — even if we can't agree on where they begin and end. Sporadic cases and clusters of human infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza A (H5N1) viruses have occurred after direct contact with diseased or dead poultry (2,3). |
