ABSTRACT: Squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck is a rare cause of humoral hypercalcemia of malignancy.
PTHrP is the agent responsible for the condition of humoral hypercalcemia of malignancy (HHM).
These include a Vitamin D assay, to be used for the detection of hypercalcemia and certain renal disorders; Osteocalcin, which is used in bone formation/turnover assessment and Parathyroid Hormone related protein, which is the agent responsible for the condition of humoral hypercalcemia of malignancy.
