Keywords: eGovernment, strategy, online services, sophistication, interoperability 1 Introduction In this paper we tried to follow the structure of typical eGovernment report for EU countries done by EU IDABC eGovernment Observatory, but with little modifications.
We are proud to be one of the first commercial open source providers to support the IDABC in the promotion of its open source philosophy within the EU.
The initiative led by the European Commission, Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry, was launched within the framework of the IDABC program (Interoperable Delivery of pan-European e-Government Services to Public Administrations, Business and Citizens) and is seen as a key contributor to achieving the Lisbon Treaty goals that have been reinforced within the e-Europe i2010 strategy.
