The adoption of VMS' IGRT products is occurring three times faster than the company experienced with the introduction of IMRT earlier this decade, and this growth is particularly strong in the US. With the installation of the two new Elekta Synergy systems equipped with integrated high-resolution 3D X-ray volume imaging capability for IGRT along with advanced IMRT, the radiation oncology department in Feldkirch will be able to offer these new and innovative methods for irradiating tumors with extremely high precision and accuracy. Today equipped with five linear accelerators for radiation therapy provided by another vendor, the Velindre Cancer Centre, part of the Velindre NHS Trust, have now ordered two Elekta Synergy[R] systems, equipped with integrated high-resolution 3D imaging capability for IMRT and IGRT, methods for irradiating tumors with significantly improved precision and accuracy. |
