During last week's ISBT congress in Cape Town, South Africa, Cerus presented data (Abstract 5PS-3402) from ongoing studies on the INTERCEPT system's ability to inactivate pathogens in red blood cells using its modified S-303 treatment process. The study presented to the ISBT tested the Pall eBDS on 662 red blood cell samples that had been inoculated separately with twelve different bacteria strains. We're pleased that Cerus will have a significant presence at the ISBT congress, a key international blood safety and transfusion medicine meeting," said Claes Glassell, president and CEO of Cerus. |
