Blackwell said that it now publishes nine out of the top 20 dental journals ranked by impact factor and one quarter of all dental research articles. The traditional method of evaluating a journal's quality and prestige is the impact factor (IF). The journal, which is widely indexed, has a consistently high impact factor (fourth most cited of 41 infectious disease journals, Institute of Scientific Information citation reports, 2003). |
