Clapham Terrace Community Primary School and Nursery received the award from Inclusion Quality Mark
earlier this month.
In fact, we were recently recognised for this work with an Inclusion Quality Mark
- the first school in the borough to gain this accolade.
Well, apart from staff taking some well-earned time off, we're going to be progressing with the Inclusion Quality Mark
and National Young Carers in Schools standards.
New York Primary School, in North Shields, has been awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark
(IQM) and designated as a centre of excellence for inclusion, making it one of only three schools in the North East to achieve the honour.
The Inclusion Quality Mark
is designed to create a dialogue about inclusion with objective and supportive evaluation by the IQM team and this results in a model for further growth.
The school has gained the Inclusion Quality Mark
, Artsmark Gold Award, School Hygiene Award (5 star) and been successful in gaining an Awards for All grant which will help the school to support community projects in the local area.
