She then completed a master law degree in international lawat Leeds University and was offered a place to study the Bar Vocational Course at City Law School, formerly Inns of Court School of Law.
Ms McVitie, who lives in Cheshire, was called to the Bar in 1995 after training at the Inns of Court School of Law in London and later completing her pupilage at Liverpool's Chavasse Court Chambers.
