There are about 51,000 dedicated military and civilian personnel who work at these locations and they include transportation specialists, logistics and traffic managers and installation transportation officers (ITO). The workshop is geared for functional level personnel--Active Duty, Reserve Component, National Guard and DOD civilians--to include installation transportation officers as well as contractors who work for DOD, to increase their knowledge of the end-to-end distribution and deployment processes within the defense transportation system as well as to address current issues within the transportation community. From the United States Army Alaska G4, and the Fort Richardson Director of Logistics and Installation Transportation Officer, Chen received a full briefing on the deployment and distribution challenges of our largest state. |
