a provider of information technology (IT) services and solutions to federal government organizations, announced recently that it has been awarded a new blanket purchase agreement (BPA) for the Integrated Card Production System (ICPS) contract to produce various types of memory identification cards and secure identification documents on behalf of the DHS/BCIS (formerly INS).
Information Spectrum won the prime contract for the INS Integrated Card Production System under a teaming arrangement with Drexler's subsidiary, LaserCard Systems Corporation, which was awarded the subcontract.
The new equipment, termed the Integrated Card Production System (ICPS), will produce more durable, tamper-resistant, credit card-like documents with security features that are not readily observable.
