Scientists now are able to use GPS technology and InSAR, or Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar, to identify areas of stress and better track what happens before, during and after an earthquake. Interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) combines data from images taken from the same point in space at two different times. Under the agreement, the Company will collect and deliver 3D digital elevation models (DEMs) and orthorectified radar images (ORIs) utilizing Intermap's interferometric synthetic aperture radar (IFSAR) mapping technology. |
