, Harsh Dev Singh, said the state government was deliberately evading the issue of reservation to backward classes and women in the run-up to the polls.
Whereas ,the joint candidate of MC and PTI Mehrun u Nisa of Muslim Conference got five and Nabila Irshad of JKPP
got one vote and were unable to get the representation in AJK legislative Assembly.
However Muslim Conference and PPP secured three seats each, PTI got two seats, JKPP
one seat and the solitary seat won by an independent candidate on 41- directly contested seats of the 49- member AJK Legislative Assembly.
PML (N) secured 31 seats, Muslim Conference 3 seats, PPP 3 seats, PTI 2 seats, JKPP
1 seat and Independent 1 seat whereas there are total 41 seats.
President said that in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court of AJK, the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner of should be made immediately to ensure holding of the general elections on time.
