Two of Sentori's customers, M-Tel in Nigeria and Jernbaneverket in Norway, have already deployed Version 4. NASDAQ: CMVT), and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication services, today announced the purchase of Comverse's voicemail and SMS systems by the Norwegian National Rail Administration, Jernbaneverket (JBV), and the Finnish Rail Administration, Ratahallintokeskus (RHK), within the framework of an agreement to purchase GSM-R systems from Siemens. As one of the early adopters of the International Union of Railways (UIC) standard for railway communications, Jernbaneverket began to roll out GSM-R over its rail network, which includes 700 trains, 3,800km of track, and 650 tunnels, in August 2003. |
