In recent months, AOL has forged agreements with the Jornal do Brasil and Gazeta Mercantil newspapers and is seeking other partners to beef up its Portuguese-language offerings. ``The problem happened because of stress,'' he told Jornal do Brasil. Some of the figures presented are scandalously and outrageously high; at the end of the 1980s, the estimated figures were of 500,000 underage prostitutes and, according to the Jornal do Brasil newspaper, the Government of the State of Para estimated that there were 30,000 child prostitutes between the ages of 11 and 15 years in the State of Para alone. |
