Meanwhile, two Canadian soldiers serving under the banner of
NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and their
interpreter were killed when their vehicle was blown up by a roadside
bomb in Zherai district of southern Kandahar province on Wednesday
afternoon, NATO Brigadier General Guy Laroche told reporters at
Kandahar Airfield. For just 1,700 afghanis ($40), a civilian can fly Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday; a daily schedule is expected as traffic grows, and Ariana is eager to begin connecting the refurbished Kandahar airfield to the outside world. After the 74th LRSD conducted the first counterstrike operation with its partnered ANSF, the Kandahar Airfield did not receive another indirect fire attack. |
