Last year, Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products (or KAAP) produced 370,000 pieces of aluminum forgings, which were supplied to American automakers and Japanese transplants.
Construction has been completed at the Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products aluminum forging facility located in the South Central Kentucky Industrial Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products LLC, a joint venture among Kobe Steel Limited (Tokyo, Japan), which owns 60% of the company, Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Nagoya, Japan), 15%, and Mitsui & Company Limited (Tokyo, Japan), 25% is about 50% complete with construction of its new aluminum forging plant.
