The Company has recently submitted 4 papers to the American Society of Cataracts and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS, May, 2001), where more than 500 cases of LAPR will be presented by ophthalmologists from various countries that are using the Company's IR-laser. The clinical results of the Company's IR-3000 system indicated that LAPR is safe, effective and may offer advantages over other non-laser methods including simpler, faster with minimal regression. To protect the new IR-laser technologies, the Company currently has four US pending patents, which cover a broad range of laser spectra, and many innovative devices regarding the new procedure of LAPR. |
