The LRMA gala heralds the holiday season for south Mississippi and provides an elegant, fun-filled evening of good food, eye-catching decorations, and enjoyable fellowship.
The annual gala is an incredibly important event for us from the standpoint of our budget," LRMA Executive Director George Bassi said.
The secret to the sustained success of the LRMA gala, according to Bassi, is the fact that it is directed by volunteers.
We have spent the last six years planning the reinstallation and commissioning new research in order to incorporate new information about the baskets and tribes into our exhibition," said Jill Chancey, LRMA curator.
LRMA was established as Mississippi's first art museum in 1923 by the family of Lauren Eastman Rogers.
