More than half of retailers surveyed said they had no plans to look into garment employees' "poverty wages", according to campaign group Labour Behind the Label.
The £36bn-a-year industry has only begun to "dabble" with moves to improve the "paltry" pay of those working for its suppliers, according to a report from the anti-sweatshop coalition Labour Behind the Label.
Maggie Burns, of Labour Behind the Label, who support the campaign, said: "The sportswear industry has got to work collectively to pay workers a living wage.
