Self-Reported Quality of Life, Physical Function, and Disability We use several measures of self-reported function and disability to examine change specific to our proposed intervention: (1) four subscales of the Medical Outcomes Study 36-item Short Form (MOS SF-36) Health Survey: health-related quality of life, pain, vitality, and physical function [24-25]; and (2) the Late Life Function and Disability instrument, which was developed by Jette et al.
Ouellette et al (2004) assessed social participation using the Late Life Function and Disability Instrument (LLFDI) which measures the frequency and ability to perform major life roles (Jette et al 2002).
