Tokyo, Japan, Feb 5, 2007 - (JCN Newswire) - ORIX Corporation (TSE: 8591; NYSE: IX), a leading integrated financial services group, announced today the establishment of a fifty-fifty joint venture (ORIX-UOL Investments Pte Ltd, herein referred to as "OUI") in Singapore on February 2, 2007, with UOL Overseas Development Pte Ltd (headquarters: Singapore; president: Gwee Lian Kheng), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the UOL Group Limited (headquarters: Singapore; president: Gwee Lian Kheng). Yang Lian was a prominent member of the so-called "misty" poets, a group politically active in the late 1970s and early 1980s in Beijing. Directed by Australia's Lian Lunson (``Willie Nelson Down Home'') and built around the 2005 ``Came So Far for Beauty'' tribute concert at the Sydney Opera House, the movie features both stirring and quizzical performances. |
