Formerly known as Lightning Data Transport (LDT), the HyperTransport interconnect offers a peak data transfer rate of 6.
Announced by AMD today, HyperTransport, formerly known as Lightning Data Transport (LDT), is an innovative new technology that is designed to enable the chips inside of PCs, networking and communications devices to communicate with each other up to 24 times faster than with existing technologies.
AMD's system bus of the future, called Lightning Data Transport (LDT) was also discussed at the forum.
