NEW YORK -- 2-Track Global today announced it had successfully completed the final trial for its land-based Starfish product that tracks vehicles and assets via low earth orbit satellites in territories where no cellular-based networks are available.
While the Q2000-CDMA and Q2000-GSM will use the ORBCOMM(R) network of low earth orbit satellites, customers now also can employ wireless service via Verizon and Sprint for CDMA 1xRTT and Cingular and T-Mobile for GSM data services.
The company, in conjunction with the Center for AeroSpace Technology, has successfully designed, engineered and manufactured eight low earth orbit satellites in the under 1,000 pound class.
