ABBOTTABAD, August 21, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Managing Director Pakistan Baitul Maal Zamarrud Khan, has said that Baitul Maal has initiated twelve more projects for the welfare and betterment of special and needy people.
The humble celebration at his house in Houghton, Johannesburg, at which his current wife Graca helped him cut the celebratory cake (which simply said "91" and was decorated in the ruling ANC colours) was indeed a far cry from the pomp exhibited in New York, with star-studded performances from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Angelique Kidjo, Alicia Keyes, Stevie Wonder, Baaba Maal and the First Lady of France, former top model and singer Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.
