Education leaders from North Godwin Elementary worked with researchers and analysts from MBLEE, Just for the Kids and the National Center for Educational Accountability to determine how the practices used in these schools can be adopted by Michigan's high priority schools.
MBLEE member Mike Schmidt, from the Ford Motor Fund, served on the graduation requirement task force and added, "We believe that this action will send a strong message that the citizens of this state are serious about education and a course of study that is rigorous and relevant.
