After joining MI6 in 1966, Dearlove served in Nairobi, Kenya; Prague, Czechoslovakia; Paris; Geneva, Switzerland; and Washington. The head of Britain's MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove, returned from conferences with the CIA and other American agencies, and on July 23 told top British officials "[m]ilitary action was now seen as inevitable. Also killed in the blast at the Grand Hyatt was Nafeh's close associate Colonel Abed Mohammad Alloun, a former director general in the PA Ministry of Interior and liaison between the PSS and foreign intelligence agencies, including the CIA, MI6 and Shin Bet. |
