Kawasaki and Tokyo, Japan, Feb 12, 2009 - (JCN Newswire) - NEC Corporation and NEC Electronics Corporation today announced the successful operational demonstration of a 32Mb MRAM (Magnetic Random Access Memory) that can be embedded in SoCs.
But now the assembly lines are firing up as major players such as Philips, Motorola, Infineon, and IBM are preparing to release MRAM components into the marketplace.
MRAM could lead to 'instant on' computers, allowing users to turn computers on and off as quickly as a light switch.
