The histologic differential diagnosis is predicated on whether the tumor is biphasic or monophasic; it includes adenocarcinoma, spindle cell carcinoma, fibrosarcoma, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor, glomangiopericytoma (hemangiopericytoma), leiomyosarcoma, malignant melanoma, epithelioid sarcoma, and angiosarcoma.
In this article, we describe 2 new cases of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor of the head and neck.
In this article, we describe a case of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor of the paranasal sinuses, and we review the clinical presentation, histologic findings, differential diagnosis, and treatment of this tumor.
