Aa A new report from a mobile security vendor details how the most popular smartphones, including the iPhone, are very vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks, carried out via public Wi-Fi connections.
Because of the vulnerability, an attacker could launch a man-in-the-middle attack to intercept an SSL-protected session, then surreptitiously execute commands, according to PhoneFactor.
The company said that the solution is well suited to protect banks and users from man-in-the-Middle attacks, considering two separate channels, the PC and the iPhone, are used to sign transactions.
