Last month, scientists at the Mauna Loa observatory in Hawaii reported that CO2 levels had reached a record high, with levels in the atmosphere now standing at 387 parts per million, up by almost 40% since the industrial revolution.
Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii has been collecting data on carbon dioxide (C02) concentrations in the atmosphere for many years.
Record low amounts of ozone measured by the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii in late 1994 appear to be the result of a reversal of wind direction in the upper air, says a paper in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.
