There are three types of missing data pattern: Missing Completely At Random (MCAR); Missing At Random (MAR); and Not Missing at Random (NMAR) [also known as Non-Ignorable (Ni)].
Based on the terminology of Little and Rubin, three types of response mechanism are availabe: missing completely at random, missing at random, and nonignorable nonresponse.
