THE long- awaited mobile number portability ( MNP), which has been delayed by three months, will now be implemented in the metros and category A service areas on December 31 and the rest of the country on March 20, 2009, said Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ( Trai) on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, another press release from Nawras said that the latest figures for mobile number portability (MNP) show that nine out of ten customers who chose to change their mobile service operator joined Nawras to get more from their mobile experience.
The company believes the change in mobile number portability will cost much more than the £12m that Ofcom has estimated with the mobile phone companies loading the customers with increased cost.
