Caption: On Tuesday, June 13, the Board of Managers of Museum Tower, the luxurious condominium located next door to the Museum of Modern Art, debuted the Philip Johnson Terrace, a rooftop garden overlooking the MoMA sculpture garden. Users can search Van Gogh, for example, and link to detailed art and information pertaining to the artist and MoMA store items, which generates revenues. The vision reminded me of the "glass architecture" summoned by Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, with a double-exposed photograph of a skeletal building, at the end of The New Vision (first published in 1929, the year MOMA opened). |
