A light mobile division can include mainly motorized rifle battalions with IFVs and APCs, one or two air mobile battalions, and one or two heavy battalions.
Although the battalion only had 14 weeks to train for combat operations as a motorized rifle battalion, the trainers resisted the urge to have their Soldiers "run before they could walk" to ensure they had a solid foundation for future training and operations.
There should be three types of them: a heavy tank battalion; medium motorized rifle battalion in IFVs (APCs); and a light rifle, mountain rifle, airborne assault, and paratroop battalion.
