We encourage veterinary technicians working in the field to get involved with NAVTA and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from a nationwide network of dedicated and passionate professionals.
The week-long NAVTA membership drive runs from Oct.
We are excited for the opportunity to continue our work with Merial and grateful for this endowment," says Julie Legred, CVT, the executive director of NAVTA.
NAVTA's commitment to provide education and support for our members aligns with Merial's goal of educating dog owners about the importance of year-round heartworm disease prevention," said Julie Legred, CVT, the executive director of NAVTA.
As an organization that is committed to being part of the decision making process that impacts their vet tech members, NAVTA will play a key role in the execution of this initiative.
Merial is proud to partner with NAVTA to create new programs to help support the veterinary technician.
Incorporated in 1981, NAVTA is the national organization devoted exclusively to developing and enhancing the profession of veterinary technology.
NAVTA is a non-profit organization that promotes the profession of Veterinary Technology by providing direction, education, support, and coordination for its members.
Among its successes, NAVTA has changed the professional nomenclature, so that it appropriately reflects the skill sets of veterinary technicians; attained positions of influence on national committees, councils and task forces; established a quality journal; and expanded services provided by veterinary technicians through the development of technician specialties in critical care, anesthesia and dentistry," said Janet D.
A mark of the organization's professional achievement has been the launch of The NAVTA Journal, created in December 2002.
This year, NAVTA is celebrating the launch of its premier issue of The NAVTA Journal.
The journal will provide continuing education units as well as national, state and local news important to the networking of veterinary technicians across the nation," said Patrick Navarre, executive director of NAVTA.
