In his role as president of the NBPA, Dizaei lined up with critics of Sir Ian Blair's regime and was a close confidant of former assistant commissioner Tarique Ghaffur. Criticism has been unremitting since the NBPA said it would discourage black recruits. The NBPA regulations prohibit it (and the union has indicated that it is going to start enforcing that provision) and the NFLPA regulations don't prohibit it. |
