The NCHF: The NCHF contains inpatient and outpatient utilization and financial data on all MCBS respondents, including provider charges and Medicare reimbursement, as well as the deductibles and copayments associated with a specific service. Data for other provider sectors are also available through the NCHF. DATA We used claims data from HCFA's NCHF for services provided from July 1, 1990, to June 30, 1991, for 100 percent of the Medicare beneficiaries 65 years of age or over residing in Alabama, Iowa, and Maryland. |
