Final mock exercise for coastal community awareness, district administration preparedness and civil society capacity building was conducted at Pasni beach of Balochistan on Tuesday, which was participated by hundreds of local people including women and children, Muhammad Irfan, chief spokesman of the NDMA told this news agency.
In his remarks, General Vij said that NDMA has come out with guidelines on various types of disaster and these need to be converted into actionable plans for the concerned ministries to make the country disaster resilient.
NDMA says that the project aimed at strengthening the Coastal Hazards Early Warning System in Pakistan, with focus on Tsunami and mitigation.
