NESHAPS is concerned primarily with water and the effluent that is within the abatement worksite itself rather than the decontamination facility. Environmental compliance project spending is on the rise for owners of power plants and other heavy process manufacturing industries such as petroleum refining, chemical processing, and pulp & paper, especially with the long line of clean air and water initiatives mandated by the EPA, such as the recently passed Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) and Clean Air Mercury Rule (CAMR), along with ongoing NESHAPS and MACT compliance. |
