The NFPTR was founded in 1994 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, Maryland) as a resource for advancing our understanding of familial pancreatic cancer and for facilitating risk assessment and the early detection of neoplasms in these families.
To define accurately the risk of pancreatic cancer in families, we prospectively observed families in the NFPTR.
