Officials say the hospitals have "gotten ahead" of what the National Health Service can afford. More than 900 National Health Service staff will be made redundant as part of hospital reorganisation in the United Kingdom, Health Minister Lord Warner announced last month. Discouraged by what they say is the assembly-line nature of their job, dentists are leaving the National Health Service (NHS) and going into private practice. |
