A mailing for the Native American Rights Fund (NARF) tried to use a provocative teaser, labeling a simple envelope with "Official Business Summons" in the return address area, and only NARF's address on the back. The Native American Rights Fund (NARF) is representing 10 villages, the Alaska Inter-Tribal Council, and the Alaska Native Justice Center in a lawsuit calling for adequate police protection in Alaska Native communities. Bender and Don Miller of the Native American Rights Fund have been working on the Catawbas' case since the mid-1970s. |
