Tokyo, Japan, Aug 11, 2006 - (JCN) - Olympus has announced an exclusive Japan distribution agreement covering VisEn's fluorescence molecular tomography (FMT) imaging systems and portfolio of in vivo near infrared fluorescence probes. The rover's survey camera and three spectrometers, which study the composition of materials at wavelengths ranging from gamma rays to the near infrared, revealed that the bright soil patch is laden with a greater amount of chemical salts than any other sample examined on Mars. This novel frequency comb should enable high-precision frequency metrology experiments in the near infrared and, in particular, across the telecommunications region of 1300 nm to 1600 nm. |
