New Parent Support Program Personnel--The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) is a voluntary home visitation program for parents expecting a baby and for parents of children up to three years of age.
Over the years the FLDC has created command briefings and training materials for military service members and military family support providers, conducted research on new parent support programs, studied various prevention strategies for child and spouse abuse, and is currently evaluating some of the effects of parental deployment on family stress and coping.
DefenseWeb will also develop a number of online training courses for the Navy, including: Navy Family Advocacy training, Navy Domestic Violence Victim Advocates training, New Parent Support Program training and Navy Spouse 101 training.
