Since then, the New Zealand Medical Association (NZMA), which represented 599 employers in the MECA negotiations, has conducted ratification among its members. Throughout the implementation period there has been an uneasy relationship between the Minister of Health and GPs, who are represented by IPAC and the New Zealand Medical Association. So far I have been involved in two meetings of the working party, which is made up of around 20 representatives and includes GPs and members from district health boards, primary health organisations, the Accident Compensation Corporation, New Zealand Medical Association and the NZRGPN. |
