Nursing in public can get tricky with a toddler who is easily distracted, or who may toss off a blanket or a flap of a sling at any moment. That said, I disagree with Freeman's suggestion that mothers have a responsibility to protect the sensibilities of strangers while nursing in public. Rather than deal with nursing in public, some women express breast milk at home so they can feed it to their child later from a bottle. |
